How Do I Re-enable Ballon Tips?

To Enable The Notification Area Balloon Tips

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then press ENTER.

2. Navigate to the following subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvanced

3. Right-click the right pane, create a new DWORD value, and then name it EnableBalloonTips.

4. Double-click this new entry, and then give it a hexadecimal value of 1. ( 1 Enables Balloon Tips, and 0 Disables Balloon Tips )

5. Quit Registry Editor. Log off Windows, and then log back on.

These steps enable all Notification Area balloon tips for this user. There is no way to disable balloon tips for specific programs only.

      I’m not quite sure I understand your question. Was our Balloon Tips fix an unsuccessful endevour in your experience? This should apply to most Windows systems. In our experience, this fix was valid in the following systems, ME, XP, Vista, and even Windows 7. If you are infact still without Balloon Tips after applying this fix, describe to us your problem in detail. Hope this was helpful.
