I had just about written it off as an unfixable hardware problem but now after flashing the bios it doesn't shut down anymore. The bios link here is no longer functional, though. By no means was it easy to access. So if you're thinking "this is way to hard to access", you're probably on the right track. As I remember, we nearly disassembled the entire top half of the machine.
